Sarumoh Farms is on a mission to empower women entrepreneurs in the informal sector by offering them top-notch entrepreneurship and soft skill training. We recently sponsored a 5-day intensive Get Ahead training program for 20 women entrepreneurs in the Amoshe Community, located in Lagos State, Nigeria.
Our goal at Sarumoh Farms is to equip these entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills they need to transform their businesses and improve their livelihoods. We are dedicated to bridging the gap between low-income women entrepreneurs and profitable business development by providing practical income-generation solutions.

Gender and Entrepreneurship Together (GET Ahead) is a specialized program empowering individuals, regardless of their initial literacy or numeracy skills, to overcome obstacles to business ownership. It addresses common challenges faced by women in entrepreneurship, such as limited business knowledge, self-confidence, and societal expectations related to household and caregiving responsibilities.
GET Ahead stands out by providing comprehensive support to both women and men, equipping them with essential business management skills and crucial soft skills necessary to initiate or enhance existing businesses. Originally designed to cater to the unique needs of women, this program recognizes the pivotal role women's entrepreneurship plays in the economic growth of developing nations.
Research confirms that women's entrepreneurship significantly contributes to job creation, gender equality, and poverty reduction. Studies, like Carter et al. (2006), emphasize the growing importance of women as change agents in both social and economic realms, with their contributions being instrumental in employment, wealth generation, and overall economic advancement on a global scale.
